Norman Weldon BME Summer Internship

Description: This scholarship was established for undergraduate students to participate in faculty research during the summer.  The awards are intended to support students with an interest in pursuing a career in research with plans to attend graduate studies in biomedical engineering. Up to four students will be selected to conduct research in a faculty’s laboratory for 20 hr/week for 12 weeks at $10/hour over the summer (May-August).  Students must apply with a faculty mentor.  These awards are intended for students at the late junior or early senior level and may not be used by a student registered for senior design credit during the summer they are doing the research if the research is directly related to their current senior design project.

Wallace Coulter Excellence Scholarships

Description:
FIU BME undergraduate students as well as transfer students. Declare/Intend biomedical engineering as the Major field of study. GPA 3.0 or higher. Need to provide completed application form, copy of unofficial transcripts, copy of SAT/ACT scores and a personal statement of academic/career goals.
